These Christmas days, surely more than one is still thinking of hanging the apron and going out to dinner or to eat outside. Good options are not lacking in the Region of Murcia, but we propose a gastronomic proposal for you to celebrate these holidays, or to treat yourself on New Year’s Eve or, if you prefer, to start 2020 with a special menu for the occasion.
The fantastic facilities of the impressive Sheraton Hacienda del Álamo Golf & Spa, opened in 2018, are the ideal enclave for this occasion.
Sheraton Executive Chef Javier López has prepared for these Christmas days an exquisite tasting menu that will be served until January 6, including Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
In the select restaurant La Palapa of the hotel, this menu is offered that proposes a trip through the flavors of the countryside and the sea of Christmas in a contemporary way.
For starters, an exquisite appetizer, oysters with marinated sauce, a cold dish of foie with figs and Pedro Ximénez reduction; It is followed by a hot dish consisting of oxtail with creamy truffle sauce. And as a main course, choose between fish, with a San Pedro steak with lobster ravioli and date palm sauce, or for meat lovers, roasted lamb shoulder with crispy potatoes and sweet potato mash in its garlic juice black.
For dessert we can enjoy a Christmas log with nougat ice cream and mignardises. The price per person, winery included, is 76 euros, and 38 euros for children under 12 years.
